As there has been a bit of confusion regarding the posting of threads in the present time-line, (ie: everything outside the Character Histories section) this thread is available in order for people to better understand what needs to be done.
First and foremost, to reiterate what it says in the Forum Rules, in the present time-line, people may only be present in one thread at a time. This means that if Naruto is in a room speaking with Minato, he cannot also he outside interacting with Sakura and Kiba in another thread. He must first leave the Minato thread, and then he is able to interact with Sakura and Kiba. This means that, at one time, you cannot be replying in two different threads on the main boards (which I have been seeing a bit of lately).
In light of this, people who are present in more than one thread currently, please choose a thread to finish up quickly and close it, and focus on only one thread. We aren't going to delete any or anything, but please do try and stick to the one thread in the present time-line. In the Character Histories section, you are welcome to have more than one thread open at a time, as these are past events, but the main board is one thread only.
Also, to facilitate things for people who may be following your threads, when you move from one place to another, please post a comment at the end of each thread saying "moved here" and ask a mod to lock it if all characters have left that thread. If two people are RP and both leave, ask for it to be locked. If only one person leaves, we will allow for it to remain open so long as the single person continues to post.
Once you've arrived at your new thread, paste a link at the top stating which thread you've just come from. That way a new member who arrives can follow back through the threads to the first one and will be able to follow the story. This is all done for convenience, so please do it. If you need assistance on how to do it, ask one of the mods and they will give you the codes.
Examples of what they should look like can be found here:
(Coming Soon)
You are welcome to link however you choose so long as it is done. And again, request for a mod to lock closed threads.
We hope this has helped people better understand the way the main boards are run.
